Thank you very much for your response. As you said yours was not a straight forward job, it was custom in many ways due to the variations of where they were installed. In spite of that, we pride ourselves not only in the quality of our product but the other areas as well, such as being on time, alerting our customers when we are going to be late, etc. However, sometimes, as in your case the prior job takes much longer than we expected, because we don't know until we get there how long it will take. Bill was very courteous with a smile on his face the whole time he was here. Our garage door was tweaked and he charged according to what he saw and later he said it wasn't as bad as he thought. He did a good job and we are pleased with his work. He is a nice young man. The only problem I had was that I originally paid almost 700.00 in 2010 and the guy told me it would be a forever fee for fixing the door FOREVER. My husband has parkinsons and can't do anything so I paid the 700.00 to be covered. Now they say that is only for parts so I feel I was overcharged the first time. He told me it was for anything that would happen but now I am paying again. I talked to Don and he did take some off this time but I felt I shouldn't have to pay at all. My neighbors told me I was really taken the first time and I feel that way too. What does FOREVER for anything mean to you? Dorothy Rumph

Thank you very much for your response. There was a misunderstanding of our lifetime warranty. Our customers' understanding was that everything that could happen to the door is covered forever, regardless to what it may be. We replaced all of the vital parts on her door system, and we warrantied all of those items for as long as the customer lives in the home. There are other things that may happen that are outside this warranty, such as crashing the door with a vehicle, cracks in the door sections, or even other part failures. Such was the cash here. We did attempt to mitigate the expense due to the misunderstanding, as we always want our customers to be 100% satisfied. Don Taylor

The garage repair that came out to my home was very pleasant and took care of everything that needed to be done. He even called me the following morning just to confirm that everything was working correctly and if I had any questions or concerns. I was also impressed when I got the email confirming our appointment with pictures of the technicians. Thank you for sending Cody to repair the garage door for us. Dear Precision Door Co. The technicians name was Bill Weir and his supervisor's name was Mike. It is hard to answer your report card for this reason (not enough space on the card). The job was very hard because of the structure being old (built in 1974) and had to have the doors special made into one piece for both sides. It became a real problem and it took four visits to work with the problems and make shift parts for all of it to fit. They worked and worked till they got it all working, which was a miracle in itself. All was done with great satisfaction in all matters. These guys were GREAT and did a great job knowing what they had to work with. The only thing that needs great improvement is your scheduling of when they are to come out. Each of the four times the girl over the phone would say "they will be out between 8:00 and 12:00 and they would show up about 3:30. Each time I had to change plans or cancel and appointment which is wrong. I know its hard not knowing when the prior job is going to be done, or how long it takes, but lets be reasonable. Its NOT the guys fault, its your planning. My husband and I are very pleased with the doors, and we live in a condo with 58 more condos in a gated community and I was the ginny pig to have the first doors done. I was telling Bill that in the future he will have a big order to fill when he meet with our association, and I want him to take credit for it.
