So very disappointed on the service I've got today ,not the first time that i had call Precision garage door but its definitely my last time I call them. I just moved to a new house with a keypad opener on the side of the garage but it wasn't working so I called them to either fix it or change it to a new key pad opener.I did tell the lady who answer my call about my problem and i told her that I have their free service charge with the repair coupon and she told me it would be $99 .When the technician came he had a Liftmaster key pad which he tried to make it work with my Genie garage door opener and was not successful .Then he called his friend and they told him Liftmaster key pad doesn't work with Genie opener and I had to pay $50 for nothing ,Waste of my time and money .

This would be a no star review if the system let me....... No service performed, because I could not get anyone to call me back to assure me that all of the issues I discussed with the tech would be handled once they came out to perform the work. It has been 4 business days since I called and requested a call back from someone to help me, and I have called 3 times and emailed ktaylor@precisiondoor.net (the owner's last name is Taylor, so I'm betting wife, brother or other relative) but have been ignored. I have used these guys previously with generally positive results, but in this case they have dropped the ball from the get-go. Very sad to see a business being run into the ground like this.

After I showed your service technician the broken spring on my garage door, he immediately absolved your company from any wrong doing or responsibility. I was under the assumption that your company had installed the garage door. I was not aware that a different company had installed the door and your company had installed the door opener. So, I was caught between the two. The technician gave me an estimate which was far out of my budget. The cheapest price he gave me was close to $500 dollars. To some, that is not a lot of money, but, to me, living on social security and retirement, it is. I asked him if there was anyway for me to open the door by hand. He just shook his head and said “no.” It was almost as if he was saying “that’s my offer, you can accept it or be stuck with a garage door that won’t open.” I was not satisfied with this service call.

Your repairmen came this morning to repair my garage door with one broken spring. The door slammed shut when the spring broke and seemed locked. Your repairman simply lifted the door (about a two to five second job) and said the repair was over $600.00. I declined because that was too much to replace two garage door springs!! Jose said that there was a $148.95 service charge, thats $99.00 labor for the 2-5 second door lift and $49.95 fee to show up! Jose quoted repair costs which seemed excessive on top of the $148.95 service fee so you lost a customer!

The appointment was made quickly and easily. The repairman was punctual and friendly. He gave me an estimate of $179.00 if he had to replace the circuit board, or $779.00 to replace the entire garage door opener. I opted for the repair. He was done in less than 5 minutes only doing a minor adjustment. He still charged me the $179.00, a complete rip off! The repairman knew exactly what the problem was before he gave me the estimate and tried to make it more than it was. A company that treats customers like that has no place advertising that "it's a name you can trust". All I can say is that you can trust them to rip you off! I will never give them a recommendation and will certainly steer people away from them if their name is ever brought up.

I spoke with Mr. Manzanares regarding this issue and about the misunderstanding. We adjusted the track which was part of the issue with his door, adjusted the motor and did a lube and tune on the door. Mr. Manzanares explained that he is completely satisfied with the repair itself, his door is performing perfectly. His felt the time spent was short for the charge made. There was a misunderstanding on the initial quote, the $179 was not for a circuit board, that would have been substantially more. Nevertheless, I gave him a credit of $50 back on his credit card, which made more satisfactory to the customer.

Field Service Tech came out right away and found the problem. Put down 50% deposit ($300) for the garage door system and was told Stephanie would call to set up installation appointment. No call came. I have called them multiple times (it's a dispatch person), gave up and asked for a refund. Now, they won't call me back. Filing a police report on Monday and one with BBB.

I just want to thank you for coming out to fix my garage door even though the original installation was not done properly by Derek olear but I should have not be charged for shoddy workmanship. It shouldn’t matter if it was a holiday or not. This is not a proper way to do business and charge people $89 for fixing the company’s mistake. I would appreciate a refund. Thank you.

Warning: Be sure you receive several bids before you do business with this business We had a door installed and was over charged by a much as $500.00, The cost was $1470.00. Additionally, the installer, two technicians and owner Don could not resolve our issue with the door opener closing. We had to contact Arrow Garage Door in Hemet to troubleshoot the problem and this was their finding: > limit switch was bad which we told the second technician to check and he stated this was not the issue. Both technicians wanted us to replace the Garage door opener and the board in the opener. > Arrow Garage Door informed us the exact same door by the same manufacturer would have cost us $900.00 installed. Precision door is not a reputable company in our opinion and we will never do business with them again. Buyers beware

Re-scheduled window time between 10 and 12 to 12 and 2 without a phone call to notify. Then the technician ran in late and showed up at 2:30PM.

I never received a proposal. I received two emails that told me I had an appointment that I did not make and then they never showed up. Also it required two different appointments, one for garage doors and another door openers. One teck could not do both. To date I have not received a quote. Moving on.

I was lied to by the person on the phone and told they could replace one garage door spring, when the technician showed up he said he could not just change one spring and he would have to replace both springs, the other spring on my door was new so why would I replace it, so I got charged a service fee for nothing

all I wanted was a remote. Instead I get a quote for $1600. BTW the garage door opener is functional and working fine. When I asked about the remote the tech said it was $200 (home is only 10 years old btw) I called MFG they tell me the remote sells for $59. DONT CALL THESE PEOPLE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF>>>>

I spoke with Greg and unfortunately we made mistakes on how this situation was handled. He gave me information that I am using to make sure these mistakes never happen again. Even though I don't like a 1 star rating, I appreciate Greg doing it, as it informs our training procedures in order to get better. I explained this to Greg who was quite helpful and objective with his comments. Thanks Greg, very much appreciated.

Extremely disappointed. Here I was thinking that I had five years free labor and 20 years on parts and was charged labor and parts because it was different parts. Could understand the parts because these weren't parts that were replaced before but the labor I was not happy about. This is a couple months after I just paid $800 for door repair. And the repairman said we must have backed into the door...not. And not good too blame us...could it have been the way he adjusted the door when they "fixed" it before. I will no longer call precision door to work on my garage door...time to find somebody else.
- Doug Kaus
I am sorry for the mis-understanding regarding this repair. Earning your business is important to us, and we don't like losing a single customer.

No Receit given to me when I asked; Mark trying to sell me garage door policies at $600.and $800.or more! Said I have no warranty for $225. work! Taking advantage of a Senior Citizen which I will report! I had a new overhead system put in less than 2 years ago and now just paid $225. without a warranty!
- Beth Frank
I spoke with Mrs. Frank who had received her receipt by this time. I discussed the work we did and extended her a 2 yr warranty on the springs we install. She was very appreciative, saying "it brought a smile to her face", and I sent a new receipt showing the warranty. I appreciated her review since it gave me a second opportunity to gain a satisfied customer.
Yucaipa, CA
I called for spring and cable replacement for a two car roll up garage door.iIwas told it would cost $225.00 over the phone and when the Tec arrived he said it is $390.00 and to make me feel better he now would give me bigger springs for this price. I have been a licensed contractor for 39 years and never have run into such foul business practice. As I call around the first price is right in the ball park and at the time I needed the door opened so I could take out my truck, in other words I now had no choice to call another install Co. Very foul practice,I realize they will delete this review however it will be on Yelp and filed with better business. This review isn't just about the money it's about the way they do business. The installer was a really good guy he should be working for a honest company. As for the big springs the $390 price was for the little springs, littler than what I had and as i bitched of the price I was given the big springs for the same cost. If I wanted big I can afford it however the little ones lasted 25 plus years. The problem hear is being deceived. I never complain the damage is done except for you people that will do business with them....

Thank you for your review sir and for alerting us of this problem. This was a misunderstanding, or mis-communication as explained by Kevin's communication with you. And thank you for your subsequent review after your discussion with Kevin. Alerting us of a problem is how we get better if there is one.

I purchased a $1,100 garage door opener, installed 4/5/14. Last night it became stuck open. I called today 4/20 to have it repaired. I was told a technician would come out between 2-4pm. At 4p, I called again because no technician arrived. Customer Service rep tried to reach technician but not answer. She then tried to reach a manager or other technician but not answer. Now I have an 8a-12p appointment tomorrow. I have to stay home from work to wait for technician. I had to stay home from Easter at brother's today because I did not want my washer/dryer stolen from my open garage. Sure hope technician shows up!!!!
- Peggy Griswold
For our initial work 2 weeks earlier, this customer gave us a 5-star review. I spoke with Mrs. Griswold regarding this call and found that she booked this call on Easter Sunday. I have researched it and cannot find the booked call. We are a 24/7 company and we should have been able to take care of that call. I cannot find a reason for our apparent error. The job was done first thing the following day and she was very happy with that. I reduced her bill to mitigate the situation and reviewed this situation with our staff to prevent any such situation going forward. Don Taylor, President

Quoted one price over the phone and when the tech came out, the price was double the high end of the price quoted over the phone. Totally overpriced. Go with someone else.
- Josh Mclaughlin
Spoke with the customer and explained why the price was what it is, and that to fix his door properly, this is what was needed. He understood it at this point, but he felt that he didn't want the best quality parts, or a permanent fix, as he doesn't feel that this is a permanent residence for him. If it were different, with his discount coupon, this price would have been reasonable.
Moreno Valley, CA
After making an appointment in which I had to rearrange my whold day and mess up my week, the technician informed me he didn't have the right parts. Why wasn't this figured out before?
- Andrea Smith
In 98% of our repair calls we have the parts we need in our truck inventory. However, in your case we used our entire truck inventory of this part in the two calls prior to yours. You have my sincere apology for this situation. Don Taylor
Hemet, CA
Made an appointment expressing that I most likely needed a replacement garage door opener. I never received any calls prior to appointment, detailing what my options were or what was available. Technician showed up without any openers available. He stated that they were currently out of doors, yet the installation price would increase if I were to provide my own. I asked him to check on the availability of a door opener, and call me back to set up an install. I never received any call back after over a week.

I purchased a remote for my garage which never worked with both of the garage doors. I called 3 times and when the technician came , he reprogramed the remote. The next day the remote control was not working again. I paid $85 for a remote that did not work and they could not fix it.

This was a misunderstanding. We sent the tech back out and the problem was resolved. Mrs. Khalil submitting a new review that is on the site. Problem resolved. Don Taylor

I had a problem with my garage door that needed to be repaired. The service technician diagnosed the problem and told me he needed to order a part. The part only took a few days to arrive but the technician did not show up on two different occasions to install the part and overall my garage door was down over 9 days waiting to be fixed.
- albert perez
After speaking with Mr. Perez, I found that the return visit was not set up on the technician's schedule as it should have been. As a result, the technician was scheduled in other areas of the market that was not in close proximity of the customers address. This was a training issue...the return call should always be set up at the initial service call, which insures the technician's return on a timely basis. We appreciate all responses, good and not so good. The "not so goods" alerts us to areas of needed improvement.

On 2/23/2021 one of your technician Shane Stewart came to look at our Guardian garage door opener that was not working. He took about 45 seconds to push a few buttons on the unit and said the motor was gone and we needed to replace the unit and offered us a few options. After making a phone call to my husband at work we opted not to move forward since my husband was extremely upset that this unit was less than 3 years old and should not have gone out so soon. We paid Shane the $49.95 for the service fee. I searched deeper into our files and found the Instruction manual for this unit and when my husband returned home from work he looked over the manual and it took him less than 10 minutes to get the garage door opener to work. We are extremely disappointed in your techs knowledge of the garage door opener (the motor is not fried) and that fact that he would push your 800.00 and 600.00 unit when in fact it wasn't needed. We are requesting a refund of your service charge. You can find all the information needed on Work order # 5398840 Invoice # 03826801. I received your Company's name and phone number directly from Guardian and I will be sending them an e-mail letting them know about the service your tech provided. I hope you take this information and follow up with your business practices appropriately. He also showed up at my door without a mask. I don't have an issue with that but other people might, just a heads up.
