Dear Don, We were grateful to have Dean repair the broken spring on our garage door in a quick and efficient manner. My concern is that I was not given any indication when I called to request a service call that the cost would be so high. I was told that the springs would be $80 to $199 each. And that the techs' trucks were stocked. Dean began by telling us of the great deal you were offering to upgrade our hardware as a bundle for $799 with a lifetime guarantee. My husband and I nearly fainted. We had no idea that replacing a broken spring would cost so much. When I told him we couldn't afford to do that he said he had two on his truck at the $149 price range. Being a senior citizen on a fixed income, I believe that customers should be given an idea what the job might cost. Dean conducted himself in a very professional manner and explained what he was doing throughout the repair.

I spoke with Mrs. Reynoso and thanked her for letting us know of her concern. I also explained to her that it is difficult to give somewhat an accurate "guestimate" of what the final costs would be until we can inspect the door system. However, due to this review we are reviewing our pricing practices over the phone to assure that we are being as above board as we can without the benefit of the inspection.

Quoted one price over the phone and when the tech came out, the price was double the high end of the price quoted over the phone. Totally overpriced. Go with someone else.

Spoke with the customer and explained why the price was what it is, and that to fix his door properly, this is what was needed. He understood it at this point, but he felt that he didn't want the best quality parts, or a permanent fix, as he doesn't feel that this is a permanent residence for him. If it were different, with his discount coupon, this price would have been reasonable.

One thing I demand in my business dealings is "professionalism" and Precision was well represented in that area by your technician Cody. It is employee's like Cody that will secure the Precision name and take you to the next step. I say this primarily because while it was not cost effective to make the required purchase to repair, we parted ways as if I had just spent a thousand dollars. I will remember Precision and will be happy to recommend if the occassion presents itself.

After hearing one of the garage door springs unwind around 3:00 P. M. I went to the garage to find it was broken and the door would not lift up. After looking online for door repair companies I called Precision and was initially told no one would be available until between 8 and 12 P. M. When I told the call taker the door would not raise and y car was stuck inside she was able to schedule a technician to come between 4 and 8. When Jose arrived he was very courteous and professional. He examined my problem and thoroughly explained all my repair options. He completed the work quickly and neatly. He then explained how to properly maintain the springs between calls for normal maintenance. I couldn't be happier with the service provided by everyone connected with this company.

Our standard price for a "lube and tune" is $79.95. This includes lubing and tuning all moving parts and making minor adjustments as needed. This service is needed at least on an annual basis.

The technician Bill Weier was prompt and communicated the problem with the garage door after his inspection. I was completely satisfied with the work performed by Bill and the suggestions given to me about the door. I will call Precision Door Service again if I need service again.
